I know, I know, I haven’t been a good webmaster as of late. However, I have made a promise to myself to do a better job. I have gotten in the habit of sending emails to the Crozet Trails Crew list serve instead of putting the information here. I am curious- Are there some folks out there who only read the website and are NOT included in the emails? If so, I apologize for being so sparse in the updates.
We have had a busy spring with lots of developments. We just completed the preliminary clearing of the Crozet Park Woodland Trail (I have no idea what the official name will be and I will likely call it something different every time I refer to it)and will continue to work on it over the next few months. We may even be getting an official trail head kiosk and some wooden benches in the near future.
We have a design for the Joseph Taylor bridge (in honor of the winner of the 2011 Crozet Trails Day 5k race) and have gotten a quote for materials from Blue ridge Builders supply. Dan Mahon will be leading the building of the bridge and that will likely start in mid to late July.
