Construction has begun on the extension of Eastern Avenue between Westhall and Foothill Crossing. As a result, the Connector Trail is temporarily closed near Summerdean Rd. (See yellow area on map). When walking from Crozet Park, you must exit the trail at Summerdean Road. When walking toward the park from Western Ridge, the trail is closed several hundred yards before you reach the connection to Summerdean Road, and there is no detour or other trail exit in the area.
As we learn more about the extent of this project, we’ll pass it on. In the meantime, please respect the trail barricades.
