June is over halfway gone!

Some things to note:
This Friday, June 20th is Picnic in the Park at Crozet Park.  6-8:30pmAdmission to the picnic is FREE!  Bring your blanket, chairs, and your favorite games and just hang out.Our locally owned Blue Ridge Pizza Truck  and Ben and Jerry’s will be available for sale or you can bring your own picnic. Walk there on the trails if you can!
Thursday, June 26th is the next CTC monthly meeting-– Anna’s Pizza 6:30 – 8:00 pm – all are welcome!

Saturday, June 28th is the next CTC workday. Dan Mahon will lead the workday and we will be installing sings and posts along the Crozet Connector Trail. Meet at the end of Summerdean Road in Westhall at 8:30 am.
The Crozet Independance Day parade and celebration will take place on Saturday, July 5th!! Crozet Trails Crew will be walking in the parade (meet at 4:30 pm at Crozet Elementary and look for Bob and his tractor). The CTC will also be staffing the Starr Hill Beer Truck for the celebration in the Park, 6-10 pmWe did this last year and it was a lot of fun! And in general news:
  • The sidewalk along Crozet Avenue is almost complete. It will be nice to walk on. Too bad it doesn’t continue up Tabor street though ;(
  • We are working on getting the final easements for the Crozet Connector Trail through eastern Crozet. Stay tuned and trail map coming this summer.
  • Looks like we might “build” a trail along Crozet Avenue from Jarman’s Gap road south to Route 250. More info coming soon. (Woo hoo! Clover is especially excited about this one!
