Please join us tomorrow night at Trailside Coffee for our monthly meeting (6-8pm). We have some important things to discuss. And guess what? There”s air conditioning there!
One thing we will be talking about is our involvement in the Crozet July 4th celebration (happening on July 3rd). The Crozet Trails Crew will be walking in the parade (3-5pm) and helping out with the festivities at Crozet Park (5-9pm). We really need folks to be involved, even if just for a 1-hour chunk of time. If you can’t come to the meeting this week, please let me know what your availability is for that day. Kids are encouraged to help as well. This is going to be a fantastic community event and a great opportunity for the CTC to be seen (in our awesome new T-shirts!).

PREDDY CREEK TRAILS DAY TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY, JUNE 11
Now that the ribbon has been cut on Albemarle County’s newest park, it’s time to share with the community all that Preddy Creek Trails Park has to offer. Albemarle County Parks and Recreation, along with local outdoor groups and enthusiasts, are coming together to host “Preddy Creek Trails Day” on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Preddy Creek Trails Park. All are invited to attend this event which will offer a morning full of exciting adventures including mountain bike excursions, guided hikes, nature walks, trail runs and horseback excursions.
