We will have a work day on Saturday, February 27, starting at 9:00 a.m.. on the Creekside Trail. The work may include digging a shallow ditch to drain part of the trail, digging out tree stumps, and additional pruning and trimming. Check our calendar for directions to the location.

The snow and ice earlier this week brought down some trees over the Crozet trails. Some of the Midweek Work Crew got out to clear them away and re-open the Connector Trail in time for the weekend. If you ever notice a problem along the trail, use the link on our Contact Us  page to tell us…

On a very cold Saturday morning, some of the Trails Crew made a special visit to Claudius Crozet’s Blue Ridge Tunnel. It’s not yet open to the public, but eventually it will be part of a nice 3 or 4 mile walk through the mountain and back. Learn more at the Blue Ridge Tunnel Foundation’s web site.  

The Mint Springs workday scheduled for Sunday, January 24th is postponed. New date TBD. Stay tuned and enjoy the snow!

Snowmageddon 2016 is predicted for this Friday. So as not to feel “trapped” by all that snow, go ahead and plan to take a beautiful snowy hike on Friday or Saturday and enjoy the wonders of Crozet shrouded in fluffy white snow. And also plan to come to the “workday” on Sunday at Mint Springs.…
