Greetings!
We will be having a trail workday this Sunday (October 2). Meet at Crozet Park at 9am, or come on down to Westhall between 9-11. We will be working on the lower section of the Westhall trail, crossing the Lickinghole Creek, and scoping out the temporary trail through Cory Farms. We will be clearing vegetation and hopefully building a rock-hop and perhaps a cable hand railing. I’ll bring tools, but if you have a weed-eater, that could be helpful.
We will have a Crozet Trails Day planning meeting on Tuesday, October 4th. Trailside Coffee, 6-8pm. If you want to learn more about CTDay or how to volunteer, please join us!
Also, help get the word out about Crozet Trails Day! If you are thinking about registering for the 5k trail run, keep in mind that there are some wonderful prizes, including the first-place prize of having a trail bridge named in your honor!
This will be a great run for beginners, students, as well as experienced racers. In addition to the 5k run, there will be a kids fun run (free! just send me an email with the names), a live band, and several booths.
