Work Day – Summer Cleanup of Chesterfield Landing Trail

It;s time to clear out the trail from Chesterfield Landing, past Sparrow Hill, to Cory Farm. We haven’t been there yet this summer, and some heavy rains have left it in need of TLC. We will mow and trim grass and weeds, clear away deposited debris, lop and prune branches and vines, and move the bridge back into place.

Bring your own tools or use ours. Wear sturdy shoes or boots (not sandals) and bring your own water and bug spray. Gloves and long pants and sleeves are strongly recommended. Under 18 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

It’s not necessary to sign up but if you do, we can get in touch in case we need to change plans because of weather. Here’s the link

Directions: Meet at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 9 at the trailhead on Oxbow Drive in Chesterfield Landing. There is a sign, and you can use the address 5435 Oxbow Dr. in your GPS to get to the area. Park along the street; be careful not to block driveways or mailboxes. If you arrive late, you can find us by walking down the trail.

IMPORTANT: Please review our safety guidelines before joining a workday and complete and sign the Volunteer Waiver Form if you have not previously done so.
