Our November work day will be on Saturday, November 6, as we restore the trail at Rowcross Street following construction of new retention ponds in the area. The work will include trimming, pruning and mowing, and possibly re-routing the trail using shovels and rakes. In other words, there’s something for everyone. We especially invite Old Trail residents who use this trail to access Lickinghole Creek, the Lodge, and the trails in the future Western Park.
Meet at the intersection of Rowcross Street and Golf Drive in Old Trail (directions below) at 9:00 a.m. Wear sturdy shoes; long pants recommended. Bring your own water and gloves. We will provide tools or bring your own. Don’t forget your BUG SPRAY! Sign up here — it’s not required but if we need to make changes due to weather it lets us get in touch with you, plus it helps us with our planning.
Come when you can — leave when you must!
Directions:
From Crozet: take Jarmans Gap Rd west. Turn left on Old Trail Drive. In the third roundabout, take the third exit on to Golf Drive, which intersects with Rowcross Street at the end. Find a place to park along the curb.
