Lately, we have had several workdays and discussions that address the mission of CTC but don’t include building new trails. These things are really important (equipment storage, marketing, public involvement, helping other groups, etc.) but I wanted to reassure you all that our top priority and our main focus is still to build new trails. Currently, that means completing the public portion of the Crozet Connector Trail. The Albemarle County Parks and Recreation Department has a few current projects that will directly affect our efforts towards this goal. As soon as they make certain advances in their work, the CTC can jump on in and help.
In the meantime, we will continue to maintain and improve sections of trail, inspire new volunteers, and increase our knowledge about the big picture for trails systems in Albemarle County and beyond.
