The official word on walking to Henley and Brownsville

A quote from India Haun, Principal at Brownsville Elementary School:

“Josh Davis, Joe Letteri, Patrick McLaughlin and I met to discuss and
do a walk-through of the trails.  It seems the trails are useable and
students should use the sidewalk and stay out of the parking lot to
get to Brownsville.  A bike rack has arrived at Brownsville and
Building Service will soon install the equipment.
You may let the group know that student walking can occur at the
discretion of the parent.  Students walking will use the same
notification system as they currently are using – note, phone call,
and/or e-mail to notify the teacher and office.

WAHS has said repeatedly that they have no problem with kids walking or biking to school, and I believe there is now a bike rack there. I am not sure what the official word is on walking to Crozet Elementary. I know they are waiting for the sidewalk/ crosswalk improvements, which are not slated to be installed for more that a year.
