On Saturday, September 17, we will meet at 8:30 a.m. at Crozet Park and then divide up into smaller groups to work on trails at Fairwinds Lane in Western Ridge, Creekside in Old Trail, and the Dog Park at Crozet Park. There will be mowing, weed-whacking, and pruning/lopping at each of these locations. We will also need team leaders who will ensure that the right equipment gets moved out and back, and can direct the work.
It’s definitely still tick & chigger season, so long pants, socks, and sturdy shoes are recommended. Bring your own gloves, hat, and water, and be sure to use bug spray. Use our tools or bring your own. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
You don’t need to sign up, but if you do we can get in touch if weather is a problem, plus it helps us plan to have enough tools. Here’s the sign up sheet.
DIRECTIONS: Meet at the CTC shed next to the Community Building (formerly Radio Building). Enter Crozet Park from Park Street and follow the road to the left of the pool area, continuing to the far side of the parking lot behind the pool.
