Saturday at Lickinghole Basin – Have a Seat!

Trails Crew at Work in Old Trail
Ten trail lovers showed up to tidy up the Creekside Trail in Old Trail. It’s in good shape and ready to walk! Just watch out for the muddy entrance to the trail at the western end, due to ongoing construction in the area. Thanks to all who came to help on a cold morning.

Weekend Trail Work Day, February 27
We will have a work day on Saturday, February 27, starting at 9:00 a.m.. on the Creekside Trail. The work may include digging a shallow ditch to drain part of the trail, digging out tree stumps, and additional pruning and trimming. Check our calendar for directions to the location.

Winter Weather Hits the Trail

A Visit to the Blue Ridge Tunnel
On a very cold Saturday morning, some of the Trails Crew made a special visit to Claudius Crozet’s Blue Ridge Tunnel. It’s not yet open to the public, but eventually it will be part of a nice 3 or 4 mile walk through the mountain and back. Learn more at the Blue Ridge Tunnel Foundation’s web site.
