Guided Trail Walk April 12

Join Crozet Trails Crew (CTC) volunteers on a guided hike down one of our favorite trails – a 3.5 mile out and back hike starting from Crozet Park to the Lickinghole Basin. We will see the bald eagles’ nest, and hopefully be able to see some eagles in action! It’s also a lovely walk through the woods and along the streams, hidden in one of Crozet’s neighborhoods. The basin is one of the best birding areas in Albemarle County so you may enjoy bringing binoculars. This is a great way to see the beautiful trails in Crozet.

Meet at the covered performance stage near the playground at Crozet Park at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12. Wear sturdy shoes, carry water, and dress for the weather. The hike does take us over some uneven dirt trails and generally takes a little over 2 hours.

If weather prevents our walk, this page will be updated by noon on the day of the walk.
