Independence Day Parade & Beer Sales
July 2 @ 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Celebrate Independence Day in Crozet July 2
In a parade: Here’s your chance to march in a parade! It’s always great fun to join Crozet’s other community organizations for the walk from Crozet Elementary to Crozet Park on Saturday afternoon. We love hearing the applause for the Trails Crew! Plus, you get to toss candy to kids — what could be better? Sign up here to march — or just show up at Crozet Elementary after 4:00 that afternoon and join us. Even if you’ve never been to a work day, you love the trails, right?
Or at a beer tent: On the other hand, maybe selling beer to kids is more fun than tossing candy. We do need a few people to show up at Crozet Park to sell beer before the parade gets there. Plus we need people all evening. You must be at least 21 years old, and you’ll be checking IDs, taking orders and payment, and serving up beer from the taps. We really do need to see who’s coming, so please sign up here.
Or maybe you prefer a more behind-the-scenes role: We also need someone to get to the park Saturday morning or Friday afternoon to set up the canopy and move the tables and chairs into position. You will get instructions! And, again, someone to go to the park Sunday morning to take it down again. This is all very much at your convenience, so sign up for the erect canopy or take down canopy jobs.
