Guided Trail Walk to Lickinghole Basin
April 15 @ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Take a break from taxes and clear your head with a spring walk to a hidden gem. Lickinghole Basin is an exciting destination, one of the best places to see birds in Albemarle County. Even if you’re not an avid birder, it’s a beautiful walk, and we may see the bald eagles nesting across the lake.
Meet at the entrance to the Dog Park at Claudius Crozet Park at 1:00 to join the Trails Crew on a walk out to Lickinghole Basin and back. Total distance is approximately 4 miles on dirt and grass trails. We will probably take about 1.5-2hours. Wear sturdy shoes and bring your own water. Bug spray highly recommended, as it is always tick season!
Keep an eye on our web site in case we have to cancel due to weather.
