Details:
We will be looking at the County-owned portion of the trail adjacent to Lickinghole Basin. Our main task will be to identify invasive plant species (Autumn Olive, Elaeagnus umbellata) that should be removed, and we will also look at several low, muddy areas that could use re-grading or a boardwalk. Because this portion of trail is connected to the Western Ridge neighborhood trails, we will likely be working with neighborhood residents and neighborhood trail maintenance volunteers.
Meet at 9:30 am in the cul-de-sac at the bottom of Fairwinds Lane in Western Ridge (please carpool from outside the neighborhood if possible as parking is very limited).
The only tools needed will be pruners, loppers, and small hand saws. CTC will bring some tools also.
