Jessica M.- Give more fliers to Mike G.- Done
• Discussion of Building (Labor) activities:
Grayrock workday- May 15th-A few of us will meet out there on Monday to assess the situation and come up with a plan.
Lickinghole Greenway- We walked there recently and wanted to know about property ownership. Dan M. told us that the parcel in question is owned by Stonehouse and that they have already told the County that they will put it into a trail easement. Dan and the CTC need to revisit that conversation and see how quickly we can get permission to build a trail for the public.
• Discussion of Planning (Logistics) activities:
There are 3 properties that need to be addressed in order to complete the Lickinghole basin- Clover Lawn Greenway (notice how the name keeps changing? We need an official name!): Stonehouse (see above), WestHall (we’d like an interim agreement or a transfer of property), and Cory Farms (already proffered, just need to have a discussion and receive verification of location).
T-shirt design is just about complete- we need sponsors. Suggestions: Blue Ridge Builders, White Hall Raritan’s/ Lion’s Club, Crozet Hardware, Parkway Pharmacy, Great Valu, Over the Moon, Maupin’s Video, Coffee Shops, King Family Vineyards, Real Estate agents, Chiropractor, Crozet Eye Care…
The CCAC meeting to discuss walking and biking to local schools has been rescheduled for May 19th. Dan Mahon will put together a statement for the meeting and an info sheet on “Trails Crime”. Crozet elementary has said that they want a crosswalk before they establish any type of walk-to-school program. It would be good to get some WAHS students who are supportive of walking and biking to school to come to the meeting.
Action Items (For May):
Jessica- Finish T-shirt design and work with Crew to get Sponsors
Michael G.- Alert the schools to the change of schedule for the CCAC meeting
Dan M.- Put together a statement for the May 19th meeting, compile “Trail Crime” info sheet
Jessica – Work with Eric W. to inform Grayrock residents about May 15th workday
Dan M.- Talk to Stonehouse, Westhall and Cory Farms about Greenway permission
Dan M., Jessica, Nan- meet at Grayrock to hash out a plan
