Join with some of our Trails Crew volunteers for a walk from Crozet Park to Lickinghole Basin and back. The basin is one of the best birding areas in Albermarle County, so who knows what we may see! It’s also a lovely walk through the woods and along the streams, hidden in our own neighborhoods. If you’re new to Crozet and haven’t yet found our trails, this is a great way to see how to connect from your own neighborhood. You may enjoy bringing binoculars to see the birds!
Meet at the kiosk near the playground at Crozet Park at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2. Wear sturdy shoes, carry water, and dress for the weather. It’s about a 3.5 mile walk over uneven dirt trails, and generally takes a little over 2 hours.
If weather prevents our walk, this page will be updated by noon on the day of the walk.
