Building
- Build the bridge to the north of Westhall that will connect the Crozet Connector Trail to the Clover Lawn spur.
- Build the bridge to the south of Westhall across Lickinghole Creek
- Work on the upper upper loop at Mint Springs (Weekday workday option).
- Work on re-routing the Lindy Bain Loop in Old Trail (Weekday workday option).
- Finish the new trail at Byrom Park.
- Complete the Crozet Connector Trail from Lickinghole Basin to Crozet Park and spur trail to Clover Lawn (Weekday workday option).
- Anchor Joseph Taylor bridge.
- Widen trail at Crozet park and add a bridge across the creek.
- Erect signage at trail heads, significant points, etc (Weekday workday option).
- Continue to clear and maintain the Henley Hornets Trail, Crozet Connector Trail, and County-maintained sections of the Lindy Bain Loop(East side of Old Trail Drive) (Weekday workday option).
Planning
- Schedule mid-week workdays (with a crew leader).
- Partner with other local organizations- CCBRTF, Crozet Running Club, service fraternities, etc.
- Work with the County on signs for trail heads and information for kiosks (including dates of hunting season).
- Schedule a chainsaw class for interested participants and/or encourage folks to take online classes.
- Find a permanent home where we can store tools (a trailer or otherwise).
- Work with local neighborhood groups to add to trail system (eg. Waylands Grant).
- Select and prepare a 5k running route from Crozet Park. Talk to property owners if required.
Marketing/organizaion
Find a Marketing volunteer who can help grow the following lines of communication:
a) Crozet Trails Crew Facebook page (already created)
b) Crozet Gazette updates
c) Information to local real estate agents
d) Press releases for events to newspapers, radio, and TV stations
e) School groups and scout troops
f) Coordination with other Crozet groups regarding workdays and time sharing.
