Workday this Saturday

Crew,
See the message below from Tucker (Albemarle County Parks champion). If you have not been to Byrom Park (and even if you have!), this is a great opportunity to check it out AND get in your weekend exercise. Contact Tucker if you have any questions and I hope to see you out there.
If you are interested in carpooling from Crozet, meet at Greenhouse coffee at 8:30am (get there a little earlier if you are going to get coffee). Park in the far back of the grass parking area. Jessica

Hey folks,

We will be hosting the next volunteer trail building day at Byrom Forest this coming Saturday (11/9) from 9am-12noon.  This month we will start working on a new trail.  This trail will create another loop (approximately 3 miles) off of the top of the Little Flat Mountain Trail and work its way back to toward the parking area through a very beautiful and interesting part of the property with ravines, rock out crops and more.

Hope to see you out there on Saturday!  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Things to bring:
Hiking shoes
Gloves
Water
Snack
Favorite tool from home (I’ll also be providing tools)

Address:
Byrom Forest  Preserve Park
6610 Blackwells Hollow Road
Crozet, VA 22932
Directions from town (takes about 45 minutes from C-ville):
1.       Follow Garth Road from town to the Piedmont Store in Whitehall
2.      Go around the curve to the right onto Route 810 (do not go straight to Sugar Hollow)
3.      Follow Route 810 for 7.8 miles and the park entrance will be on the left
