Next Work Day – September 14
Repair work has started on the two bridges washed down the Connector Trail. For now, they have been replaced with narrow bridges. Later this week you will begin to see improvements.
Please be careful when using the temporary bridges, and pay attention to warning signs as construction continues. The Trails Crew and Albemarle Parks & Rec are working together to get the repairs finished as quickly as we can. And don’t worry, our plans include removing all the debris left from the flood.

We will be conducting work days to target cleanup & repair. We will post more as they are scheduled.
Saturday September 14th – 9:00am
SIGN UP HERE to help repair two bridges on the Crozet Connector Trail. We’ll be meeting at the Foothills Crossing entrance to the trail which is located on Park Ridge Rd. between Cardinal Crest and Raven Stone. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for work near and in the stream; expect to get your feet wet. Insect repellent is recommended as mosquitoes and ticks are likely to be present.
Feel free to come even if you don’t sign up, but your sign-up lets us get in touch in case it is necessary to reschedule. Please review our safety guidelines before joining a workday.
