Two Work Days for Bridge Building

The Trails Crew will be working with County Parks and Recreation to begin construction of three small bridges on the new trail in Western Park on Monday, April 14 and Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Meet at the construction site (directions below). On April 14 we will be digging holes and setting the pilings. On April 16 we will begin constructing stringers and treads.  

Dress for the weather and bring your own water. Sturdy shoes or boots are required, and work gloves and bug spray highly recommended. Please sign up on this location so we can contact you in case any changes the schedule are required.

Directions: 
CLOSER PARKING: There will be a temporary bridge over Lickinghole Creek on work days at the far end of Brook View Road. You can park near the corner of Brook View Road and West End Drive for a shorter walk to the work site. 

Or Enter the park over the bridge across the street from 5029 Brook View Rd, then turn left to follow the trail on the far side of Lickinghole Creek to the construction site.
